Matthew joined Davis & Young in 2014 after working as Staff Attorney for Judge Timothy P. McCormick of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. There he conducted case management, settlement and final pre-trial conferences, and prepared recommendation memorandums on all civil and criminal motions. Prior to serving with the Court, Matthew worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Cuyahoga County in their Appellate and Juvenile Court Divisions. Matthew’s focus with Davis & Young is on research, writing, and appeals.

Born and raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio, Matthew received his B.A. form The Ohio State University in 2003, graduating cum laude with honors in the liberal arts. Matthew received his J.D., cum laude, from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2007. He is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.
